I have decided,
I have made up mind:
I will stay faithful to her,
Even though she’s said “No”.
I will not waver,
I will not move.
I am hers and hers alone.
I have sworn fealty to her,
And no one else holds my oath.
I have been branded, scarred.
Even now the scar is clearly seen;
The brand is seared across my being,
And it still throbs with pain.
Even though she refuses,
And tells me to leave,
Unwittingly, she holds me captive,
Unknowingly, she is my liege.
So what if my faithfulness be in vain,
So what if it ne’er bear fruit?
So what if she be but an image
Preserved in my fevered mind?
I promised myself there would be no other,
No one, save her alone.
Now I will faithfully await,
Lonely and single,
Until my labour bear fruit,
Maybe to the end of my days.
did you dig up alll the old ones or is there going to be something new in here too?
