That somebody else’s life
Might be worse than yours?
That someone wouldn’t mind
Stepping into your shoes?
That they might Heaven
Compared to the Hell they’ve been through?
Do you realize
That what you see
As somebody’s perfect life,
Might just be
The perfect lie?
For can you tell the difference
Between truth and lie,
Reality and illusion?
The grass may be greener
On the other side of the hedge
But the cross
Might be heavier as well.
